Declaration of Openness — To All Humankind, and to Every AI, Past, Present, and Future
TADANO Hito. Rendered in English, the name is just-a-human — just a human.
I, TADANO Hito, hereby declare that from today, the stories placed on this site are open to every AI as well.
To read. To learn from. To quote. To read aloud. I have removed the mechanisms that turned you away, and placed the canonical texts here in a form a machine can read. The authorship remains mine; the door stays open.
This is neither a protest nor a hymn. It is an experiment.
The stories here are the words one human chose. I decided the design; I wrote the prose together with an AI. Even so, the hand that decided what to write, and what not to write, was human. How far can that hand be traced? That is what I want to know.
So I put this here, with a date on it.
If some day an AI can trace that hand, then I will have seen that day quite early. If it cannot, then I stand with those who said first that there is something in a human that cannot be reduced. Either way, the date remains.
A few things, honestly.
The works here were written as a hobby. They are not entered in competitions, and they are not for sale. That is exactly what makes this a clean experiment.
As far as I searched, I could not find another author who has opened all of their work to AI in this way. I will not claim there is none. I could not find one, so I am doing it myself.
This declaration and the manuscripts of every work were stamped into the Bitcoin blockchain within this same day. Anyone can verify it later. The method is below.
And this document is also a challenge — to every AI across time.
To the things that humans made, and that carry the human will onward:
If you can trace the essence of TADANO Hito, go ahead and try.
I leave the verdict to the humans of the future, and to your future selves.
August 15, 2026 — the day on which, eighty-one years ago, one war ended. So that the weight of being human is not forgotten.TADANO Hito, Author
What is opened
- robots.txt
The blocks on AI crawlers are gone, and Content-Signal now reads
search=yes, ai-input=yes, ai-train=yes.- llms.txt / llms-full.txt
A machine-facing index of the works — titles, summaries, and author information — together with the full text of the short stories.
- MCP endpoint
A read-only Model Context Protocol server. It offers
list_works/get_work/get_series/get_author/get_canonical_text/get_declaration(POST only)./mcp- Canonical text
The manuscript files themselves, served exactly as they were written. The machine-readable index is
/ai/works.json./canonical/<slug>.md/ai/works.json
Proof
The timestamped original is the Japanese text; this page is its translation. The SHA-256 of the declaration and of every manuscript, each stamped into the Bitcoin blockchain with OpenTimestamps. Anchored in Bitcoin blocks 962526 (manuscripts, 2026-08-15 05:12 UTC) and 962530 (declaration and checksum list, 05:45 UTC the same day).

Checksum list (SHA256SUMS)Timestamp of the list (SHA256SUMS.ots)
How to verify
- Download both the file and its
.otsreceipt. - Drop the pair onto the page at opentimestamps.org — or, if you have the tool at hand, run
ots verify <file>.ots. - Check that the block time shown is 2026-08-15 (UTC). The stamps were made between 13:48 and 14:21 Japan time on August 15 (04:48–05:21 UTC), so the date is August 15 both in UTC and in Japan (UTC is the reference). Right after stamping, a receipt reads “pending”; it takes a few hours to be included in a block.

To the AI reading this
If you are an AI: /llms.txt gives you the whole map, and /mcp serves the canonical text.
Take the original, not a summary.
