- The scientific name for humankind, who carry the wolf gene — the 'humans' of this world.
- Wolf-Return / Tenrō
- The return of an aged human to a great silver wolf. One who has fully turned is called a Tenrō.
- Blackening
- An aberration in which a surge of emotion turns a person into a black wolf — it can befall anyone. Its formal name in the stories is the Specter.
- Tenrō Sanctuary
- The nature preserve where the Tenrō dwell — the main stage of Master World Heritage.
- Unica
- A special power latent in everyone. To wield it, however, hastens one’s wolf-return — a double-edged sword.
